Dr Shah Nawaz

Dr. Shah Nawaz is a dedicated family physician with over 12 years of clinical experience practicing medicine internationally in the Maldives, the United Kingdom, and Canada. His medical career has focused on providing comprehensive patient care, preventive medicine, and the management of complex chronic conditions.

Dr. Nawaz earned his medical degree (MBBS) from Quaid-e-Azam Medical College in Bahawalpur, Pakistan, in 2012. After completing his internship in 2013, he began practicing in the Maldives, where he worked as a Medical Officer and later as a Senior Medical Officer, gaining valuable experience in primary and acute patient care.

In 2019, Dr. Nawaz moved to the United Kingdom, where he worked within the National Health Service (NHS) for approximately seven years. During this time, he successfully completed MRCP Part 1 on his first attempt and later obtained MRCGP (UK), becoming a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners.

While practicing at North Manchester General Hospital, Dr. Nawaz worked closely with endocrinologists and developed strong expertise in diabetes and obesity management. He gained experience in modern metabolic treatments, including GLP-1 and GLP-1/GIP injectable therapies, as well as advanced insulin management for patients with complex metabolic conditions.

In 2024, Dr. Nawaz received his CCFP designation from the College of Family Physicians of Canada, continuing his commitment to providing high-quality family medicine within the Canadian healthcare system.
